Tell us what you are seeing. Which pest, where in the building, and for how long. A photo of the culprit helps.
Inspect and identify. The technician confirms the pest and finds where it is living and getting in: kitchen cupboards and behind appliances for cockroaches, eaves and the garden edge for spiders, the trail back to the nest for ants.
Treat inside and out. The agreed rooms are treated, along with the outside of the building where the pests are coming from.
Advice on keeping them out. What to seal, store or clear away so the result lasts, from food left on the bench to gaps under doors.
A house or a business
At home the job is usually the kitchen, bathrooms and living areas plus the outside. Before the visit, clear the benches, put food and pet bowls away, and move pets to a room that is not being treated. Ask how long children and pets should stay off treated surfaces; it depends on the product used, and the technician will tell you on the day.
A commercial site is more about timing and records. Ask for a visit outside trading hours so staff and customers are not in the way, plan the treatment around food preparation areas and stock, and ask for the treatment details in writing if an auditor or a landlord will want them.
