Cool-temperate weather and a lot of heritage architecture mean damp and mould come up often in Hobart, and our recent jobs show it.
Alongside restoration, we offer cleaning services for carpets, couches and mattresses, from Sandy Bay and Battery Point to Glenorchy, Kingston and Bellerive.
“We had a pipe burst in our ceiling, water seeped into our walls and our unit was at a very high risk for mould :( Guosheng worked tirelessly to ensure the drying process went as smooth as possible, even working until the evening on a Friday to ensure our walls would be dry and safe over the weekend! An extremely proficient and productive company that thrives on providing excellent service and quality work. Thank you so much for all of your help! <3”
“Guosheng from Elite Restoration did an amazing job dealing with the water damage to my unit, due to a burst pipe. Nothing was too hard and Guosheng had multiple tricks up his sleeve to ensure maximum drying capacity. The communication throughout the whole process was excellent, which made this very stressful situation for me a lot easier to handle. Thanks so much Guosheng.☺️”
In July 2026 a property in Glenorchy needed mould containment and drying in its bathroom. Four drying units went in, the job dried over seven days, and moisture came down from 24% to 16%.
That month we were also asked to contain mould in a bedroom wardrobe in a Bellerive unit, and a porch ceiling in Glenorchy needed the same. We completed drying on the first level of a property in West Hobart, and monitored drying at an office in Bothwell after water damage.

Heritage homes and slow leaks
Battery Point’s heritage architecture is part of what makes Hobart special, and older buildings need a careful approach when water gets in. Water Leak Detection helps find a slow leak before it turns into a mould problem.
Around Salamanca Market, MONA and the slopes of kunanyi/Mount Wellington, our coverage takes in Sandy Bay, Battery Point, Glenorchy, Kingston and Bellerive.
A branch in Moonah
Our Hobart branch is based in Moonah, 4.7 km from the city. Elite technicians are police-checked and fully insured, and in her Google review Nicole Martin said “The communication throughout the whole process was excellent”.
Elite is an IICRC Certified Firm, certificate number 70100265.
