Dry ice blasting on the Gold Coast is a dry way to strip grease, carbon, paint and soot. Frozen carbon dioxide pellets travel in a jet of compressed air, knock the build-up loose and chill it until it lets go, then vanish as gas. No water reaches the surface and no chemicals are involved.
On a coast built on tourism, hospitality and events, that matters wherever downtime costs money: kitchens and plant rooms in high-rise buildings, equipment that can’t be taken apart, and wiring that must stay dry. It is also used on soot, char and mould residue after a fire or a leak.

“We had a pipe burst in our ceiling, water seeped into our walls and our unit was at a very high risk for mould :( Guosheng worked tirelessly to ensure the drying process went as smooth as possible, even working until the evening on a Friday to ensure our walls would be dry and safe over the weekend! An extremely proficient and productive company that thrives on providing excellent service and quality work. Thank you so much for all of your help! <3”
“Guosheng from Elite Restoration did an amazing job dealing with the water damage to my unit, due to a burst pipe. Nothing was too hard and Guosheng had multiple tricks up his sleeve to ensure maximum drying capacity. The communication throughout the whole process was excellent, which made this very stressful situation for me a lot easier to handle. Thanks so much Guosheng.☺️”
It starts with a look at the site. A technician checks what needs removing, what it is stuck to and how the space can be reached, then cleans a test patch so you can see the finish before you agree to the work.
On the day, whatever stays in place is covered or isolated and the area is ventilated, since the pellets turn into carbon dioxide gas as they work. The operator adjusts pellet size and pressure to suit the surface and works across it section by section.
The removed grime is then vacuumed or collected, and the surface is checked with you. Nothing is wet, so equipment can be switched back on and rooms reopened without waiting for anything to dry.

Common questions
Does it harm the surface underneath?
Dry ice is not an abrasive the way sand can be, so most metal, timber, brick and paint finishes come through intact. A test patch confirms it before the full job.
What is left to clean up?
Just the grime that came off. There is no water to mop and no spent blast media to bag and take away.
Do machines have to be dismantled?
In most cases they can be cleaned where they stand, which cuts out the hours spent stripping them down and putting them back together.
Can it be used inside a building?
Yes. Airflow is the key, because the gas produced displaces air, so the area stays ventilated for the whole job.
Is there anything it won’t shift?
Deep rust and heavy scale are beyond it, and it won’t polish metal. For those, an abrasive method is the better choice.
Does it help after fire damage?
It does. Soot and smoke residue come off timber framing and brickwork without soaking them, and Elite runs 24/7 restoration for water, fire and mould damage alongside it.
