How it’s done

Carpet Cleaning in Kangaroo Point: How it’s done

The technician inspects the carpet first. Synthetic carpet in a Kangaroo Point apartment takes hot water extraction well. Wool, or a carpet that can’t be wet for building reasons, gets a low-moisture method. A heavily soiled carpet in an East Brisbane rental at the end of a lease gets more time on the pre-spray.

  1. Dry vacuum.
  2. Pre-spray and agitation.
  3. Hot water extraction, or the dry method.
  4. Spot treatment in 15-minute blocks.
  5. Drying pass.

If the carpet isn’t suited to a wet clean, the technician says so before starting and uses the low-moisture method instead. The brand is IICRC certified in S100 carpet cleaning and works to the relevant Australian Standards, and every job is covered by a satisfaction guarantee from police-checked, fully insured technicians.

Prices for apartments and offices

Bedrooms from $88 per room, a small hall $44, a small walk-in robe $22, stairs $6 per stair and landings $12 each. Special stain removal is $45 per 15 minutes and Elite carpet protection $6 per sqm. For an office in Woolloongabba or South Brisbane, commercial carpet is $88 per room up to 16 sqm and $5 per sqm beyond that. Small rugs are $44 each and a fabric lounge is $88 per seat on the same visit. A minimum job total may apply, and the figure moves with rooms, stains and access, since a two-level townhouse adds stairs and landings a single-floor apartment doesn’t have.

Will the technician need the body corporate's paperwork?

Elite is CM3 certified, which is the independent contractor compliance prequalification many building managers ask for. Technicians are police-checked and fully insured, with $20 million in public and products liability cover, so the usual induction questions have ready answers.

Can drapes and a mattress be done with the carpet?

Yes. Drapes at half length are $30 per metre. A single mattress, top and sides, costs $90. Elite carpet protection is $6 per sqm if you'd like the carpet treated after the clean. All of it can go on the one booking.

How long has Elite been doing this?

The Elite brand has been operating since 1984. The business is an IICRC Certified Firm, certificate number 70100265, and a member of the IICRC, the Restoration Industry Association, the Franchise Council of Australia and the Facility Management Association of Australia.
