Carpet Cleaning in Launceston: What the technician does in your home

Every job starts with a look at the carpet. Historic Launceston houses often have wool, newer builds in Legana and Riverside are usually synthetic, and a rental in Newnham coming up for hand-back needs a thorough rather than gentle approach. The method follows the carpet:

  1. Dry vacuum to lift grit before anything gets wet.
  2. Pre-spray and agitation so the solution gets into the pile.
  3. Hot water extraction, rinsing the fibres and pulling the dirty water out.
  4. Spot treatment for marks that survive, charged at $45 per 15 minutes.
  5. Drying, with the pile set back in one direction.

If a carpet shouldn’t be wet, a low-moisture method is used instead. Bedrooms start at $88 per room, a small hall is $44 and stairs are $6 each, with a minimum job total possible on small jobs. The brand holds IICRC S100 certification for carpet cleaning and the work is covered by a satisfaction guarantee.

In customers' words

Sue Flaxman wrote in a Google review: “Colin did a great job cleaning our carpets and was punctual, courteous and thorough. Will have him back anytime. Thanks again.”

Jill Agnew, after a couch clean on the same kind of visit: “We had our couches cleaned and the two guys did a wonderful job once again - thorough and extremely careful. Highly recommended.”

From the Tamar to the north-west coast

This page covers Launceston itself, Newnham, Riverside and Legana along the Tamar, Beaconsfield further down the valley, and the coastal run through Devonport, Ulverstone, Penguin, Burnie and Wynyard. Jobs on the coast are planned as a run rather than a one-off trip, so if you’re in Burnie or Wynyard it helps to book a few days ahead.

Launceston’s wine and food scene means a fair number of guesthouses and short-stay rentals around Cataract Gorge and City Park, and commercial carpet in those is $88 per room up to 16 sqm, or $5 per sqm for larger areas. A fabric lounge can be done on the same visit at $88 per seat, and Elite carpet protection is $6 per sqm if you’d rather the next clean was further away.

Asked in Launceston and on the coast

Carpet Cleaning in Launceston: Asked in Launceston and on the coast

Do you really come out to Burnie and Wynyard?

Yes. The coastal run through Devonport, Ulverstone, Penguin, Burnie and Wynyard is scheduled as a loop, so book a few days ahead and the job is fitted into the next trip. Prices are the same as in Launceston.

What does a rental hand-back cost?

Bedrooms are $88 per room, a small hall up to 3 m is $44, stairs are $6 per stair with landings at $12 each, and a small walk-in robe is $22. Count those when you book. A minimum job total may apply on a small job.

Can stubborn marks be removed?

Special stain removal is $45 per 15 minutes on top of the room rate. The main pass lifts everyday soiling, and the extra time goes on the marks that survive it. Show the technician before the clean starts.

Is the work insured?

Technicians are police-checked and fully insured, and the business holds $20 million in public and products liability cover. The Elite brand has been operating since 1984 and is an IICRC Certified Firm.
