Hi! 👋 How can we help today?

Step by step

Carpet Cleaning in Wollongong: Step by step

It starts with an inspection of the carpet and its stains. Then:

  1. A dry vacuum, so grit is lifted before anything gets wet
  2. A pre-spray, worked into the pile
  3. Hot water extraction, or low-moisture cleaning for carpet that shouldn’t get very wet
  4. Spot treatment on marks that are left
  5. A final pass to help drying

A heavily soiled carpet needs more time at the pre-spray stage, and wool gets a gentler hand than synthetic. A rental being handed back usually needs extra attention on marks, because that’s what the agent will look for. The technician tells you which method they’ll use before starting, and why it suits your carpet. Elite’s carpet cleaning is carried out in line with IICRC S100, and the company is an IICRC Certified Firm.

Wollongong prices

From-prices, with a minimum job total possible on small jobs:

  • Bedrooms: $88 per room
  • Halls up to 3 m: $44
  • Stairs: $6 each, landings $12
  • Small walk-in robes: $22

Add a small rug for $44, a fabric lounge at $88 per seat or curtains (half length) at $30 per metre. Offices pay $88 per room up to 16 sqm and $5 per sqm beyond. The total moves with the number of rooms, the stains needing extra time and how easy the rooms are to get to.

In our customers' words

From a 5-star Google review by Mark Briggs: “Quick, reliable and efficient, very knowledgeable staff I found that no Job is to big or small, very professional service highly recommend”.

And a short one from chubs: “These are great guys to work with, thanks Elite!”

Wollongong carpet questions

How often should carpet be cleaned?

It depends on wear. Pets, kids and a lot of foot traffic all bring it forward, while a spare room can go much longer.

Will pet urine come out?

Odour and staining often improve a lot. Some old stains have changed the fibre and will only fade. The technician will tell you what to expect.

Do I need to move furniture?

Clear small items and anything fragile. Ask about larger pieces when you book. Vacuuming first isn’t needed, because a dry vacuum is part of the clean.
