Sheeting with asbestos and sheeting without it can look identical. The same goes for eaves, wet-area linings and floor tile backing. A visual check can flag likely materials, but only laboratory analysis of a sample confirms asbestos and its type.

Samples are taken with the material wetted and the area protected, so fibres stay put.
Each sample is sealed, labelled and sent to a NATA-accredited laboratory partner.
The written report covers what was sampled and where, the result, the material’s condition and your options.
If the result is positive and the material will be disturbed, Elite’s in-house qualified technicians can carry out the removal, rather than handing it to a subcontractor.
If it is intact and staying put, the report will usually say so: bonded asbestos in good condition is often safest left where it is.
