We start with what you are planning and which materials are in doubt: fibro, eaves, roof sheeting, linings, floor tiles.
Samples are taken with the material wetted and the area protected, to keep fibres from being released.
Each sample is sealed, labelled and sent to a NATA-accredited laboratory partner for analysis.
You receive a written report: the locations sampled, the results, the condition of each material and what to do next.
Older homes are the usual concern, but unit blocks and commercial buildings from before the 1990s can carry asbestos in common areas, plant rooms and wet areas too.
What the result means
A positive result is not automatically a removal job. Intact bonded asbestos that won’t be disturbed is often safest left alone. Where it is damaged or a renovation will disturb it, Elite’s in-house qualified technicians can carry out the removal.
