These terms apply to the cleaning, restoration, and maintenance services
Elite provides. By booking or authorising work, you accept the terms below.
They sit alongside, and never reduce, your rights under the Australian
Consumer Law.
Health & safety
For everyone's safety, please stay clear of the area where our technicians
are working or have equipment placed, and tell us about any hazards before we
start.
- Don't touch our equipment, tools, or cords.
- Floors may stay damp for several hours, take care moving from carpet
onto hard floors (slip hazard).
- Keep children and pets away from operating equipment, and from any
heater / hot-water bucket we may place in a laundry or bathroom.
- Tell us about hazards in the house or grounds before work begins.
Delivery of service & results
We use industry-approved methods, equipment, and procedures with due care
and skill. However, we can't guarantee complete removal of every stain,
discolouration, or odour. Some substances (pet urine, blood, inks, dyes,
bleach, caustic agents) can cause permanent damage, especially on delicate
fibres. Results vary with the age, composition, and condition of the item.
We're not liable for pre-existing conditions that aren't visible or
detectable at initial inspection, including:
- Fugitive dyes not properly set during manufacture or re-dyeing;
- Furniture with water- or solvent-soluble coloured backing;
- Over-stretched, delaminated, or sun-damaged carpet affecting dye
integrity;
- Prior high-alkaline cleaning that may have compromised dye stability;
- Marker stains, or bodily fluids embedded in carpet, padding,
mattresses, or upholstery.
Satisfaction guarantee
We offer a 7-day free re-do guarantee. If you have a
workmanship concern within 7 days of completion, contact us and give us a
reasonable opportunity to put it right. This is a service warranty, not a
money-back guarantee.
Quotes & variations
- A written quote given during a site visit is valid for 30
days; a $100 fee applies to re-attend and re-quote the same service
later.
- If the scope changes from the original quote (significantly dirtier
surfaces, extra stains, mould spread, or changed conditions), we may charge
an additional fee, or, if the work isn't undertaken, 50% of the original
job value.
- Phone quotes are subject to the actual condition and size of the
surfaces or items.
Cancellations & surcharges
- A cancellation fee (minimum $55) may apply without adequate notice.
- Bookings over $330 may require a deposit, refundable and transferable
with at least 2 full business days' notice.
- Surcharges may apply for weekend, after-hours, or public-holiday
bookings, multi-level apartments, or jobs needing multiple operators.
- Please arrange parking for our technicians; otherwise associated costs
are added to the invoice.
Payment terms
Default terms are Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.), except for commercial clients
with a contract or end-of-lease cleaning (prepaid). A 3% late-payment
surcharge may apply per month on overdue invoices. For non-payment, we may
engage a debt collector, with costs borne by the customer.
Service-specific terms
Carpet cleaning
- Pricing is based on rooms up to 14 m²; stairs are quoted per
step.
- Subject to carpet condition, difficult stains may attract additional
charges. Special offers may not apply in all areas.
Upholstery cleaning
- Priced per seating position, subject to condition; wider seats,
recliners, ottomans, and chaises may cost more. Leather attracts an
additional charge.
Carpet & fabric protection
Protection products (Elite Carpet/Fabric Protection, L.V.P.) reduce but
don't eliminate staining; our guarantee is limited to attempting stain
removal and reapplying the product.
Tile & grout cleaning
We're not responsible for unforeseen issues such as loose or damaged tiles,
UV fading, or staining. Sealers carry their own warranty conditions.
Water damage restoration
The leak or flooding must have stopped before restoration begins. Pricing
depends on drying progress; high or textured ceilings needing scaffolding may
incur additional fees.
Mould remediation
Pricing is inspection-based and areas must be accessible for micro-cleaning.
Warranty cover requires keeping indoor humidity below 60%.
Pest control
Service and warranty limits are set out in your quote. Premises may need to
be vacated during treatment; ongoing effectiveness depends on following our
recommendations.
End-of-lease cleaning
Removes removable dirt and soil; it doesn't restore wear and tear. The free
re-do guarantee covers missed items only, not re-soiling or work by others
after we finish.
Gardening
Please ensure access on the day, clear the area of obstacles and
pet-related items, and tell us your preferences. Standards of "tidy" differ, clear communication keeps expectations aligned.
Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in these terms limits or replaces the consumer guarantees you're
entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with
guarantees that cannot be excluded under that law.
